It's okay if you need a 3DS to work I just can't stand the tiny screen (even XL)

a lot of emulators reduce the fps of the games aswell as break some textures and sometimes it outright crashes unexpectedly and corrupts your save data. also you cant really emulate 3d on anything other than the 3DS but im assuming thats not something you want either way

 

personally i wouldnt tradeoff the smaller screen for a worse experience but that is for you to decide.

 

the emulators i would reccomend is DeSmuME or NO$GBA, NO$GBA has a speedup option that is really useful but DeSmuME is less buggy.

 

sorry to say i havent used an emulator is about a year so the information i have might be outdated but i hope it atleast helps you on your way

might be a while the system ram is faster than ddr3 I'm told
