I want to build/upgrade my desktop computer.  Pretty much all this computer will do is Search the web, Do Emails, and some Microsoft Office.  I was wondering what would you guys recommend for a CPU.  I don't want the dirt cheapest but also not something that is overkill.  I want something that will not need to be replaced/upgraded for another 5-10 years.  Also is 8 GB of ram a good amount or too much?

8GB would be fine. An i3 or AMD APU would do fine.
