ssd upgrade question

Hi guys i had a question about upgrading my ssd hard drive i already have samsung 840 128gb ssd drive that is where my os is install and i have 1TB hard drive for my games i was wondering if i buy 850 500gb samsung ssd can this both ssd run at the same time even tho my 840 is older model? thanks sorry for bad english

Both SSDs can be used at the same time, just not in RAID.

i7 4790k | GTX 970 | 16GB

That's all you need to know. It's a beast.
