Hello there, I am currently expending my loop to include my GPU in SLI but I'm totally lost in the SLI terminals from EKWB as to which one to pick and how to connect it. I understand that serial equals more restriction and parallel equals less flow but how does the connection work.

Which motherboard do you have?

And parallel vs serial wont make a big difference

Gigabyte G1 z170x gaming 7. I'm a bit uncertain if a SLI setup is even possible on that motherboard with the Asus ROG strix GTX 1070 considering the waterblocks as the space is already short. The card is 40mm thick.

There is lots of space

you want one of the 3-slots

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Yeah I know that, I bought the NVIDIA SLI HB bridge and I needed the 3 slot because theres 60mm between the PCIex16 and x8 so the same applies to terminals, but my concern is more about the connection of the block itself. I guess this one is fine, but where do I plug what?

There will be top pieces on the block itself, that comes off and you take the rubber rings out and put them in the terminal block and then screw that onto the top of both blocks. If you are getting the plexi blocks, do NOT over-tighten it. Go until it's snug and then a little more but nothing beyond that.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that's how I see it. You remove the single blocks from the top of your GPU waterblocks then transfer their gasket to the fitting holes under the terminal then screw it down into the GPUs then connect an inlet and an outlet from your loop? So your loop never actually connects to the GPUs, its the terminal that distributes the water from within itself?

Yes

Though I think the terminals come with their own gaskets

ok thanks for the clarification, if you could help me I have another question. I'm looking for a coolant and I wonder whats the difference between pastel and X1 coolant from Mayhems? I know pastel is more opaque, but why would one use one over the other?
