single RU Computer Build

hi,

 

mindset, after seeing all the video's on Rack mount custom servers and the small form factor gaming rig on top of all the really cool things that MIni ITX have created i really wanted to do a more challenging build

i started looking around and this is what made me happy:

 

i am building a computer around a

Case: iStarUSA D-1101-ITX 1U 5.25-Inch Bay Compact Rackmount Mini-ITX Chassis,

Power Supply: not picked yet but must be a Flex ATX Form Factor (250W or 300W) 

Motherboard: MSI A68HI AC mITX FM2+ A68H DDR3 1XPCI-E16 3PCI-E1 SATA3 HDMI DVI VGA USB3.0 Motherboard,

Ram: i have 8GB i may jest toss in but open to setting it up for the full 32 or something close (thoughts)

Processor: AMD A10 7860K w/ AMD Quiet Cooler Quad Core APU 3.6/4.0GHZ Processor FM2+ 4MB Cache 65W Retail Box

Video: onboard

5 1/4" will be a adapter for a slim DvD Rom and Hard Drive (size will be picked later)

O.S. likely Win 10 but i could see open SUSE taking a try on it. or i do have a esxi 6 license that would work to. 

PCI slot will be a dull Esata port adapter from the motherboard.

 

the peace i am going to have the largest issue is the CPU fan i am think something like a : GELID Solutions CC-Ssilence-APLUS 65mm Ball CPU Cooler
i did compromise on the Processor being a 65W and having a speed from 3.6 to 4.0 ghz witch should be a good little machine i also will have to 100% populate all the fan's
and run them off of the Motherboards temp control, i have never run AMD Cool N' Quiet but it a older tech going all the way back to at least AM3 and likely older.

 

The Main point will be to:

-Balance Temps across the all parts

-small mobile system that is reliable

-light gaming (World of Tanks?)

 

i would like to know your thoughts?

cool.

i know this is kinda a stupid question but is the FM2/FM2+ socket square? (as in i can put the cooler in two directions?)

also it's for a intel CPU not a AMD FM2 socket.
