So no matter what game i play (mainly overwatch), whenever i get a notification from teamspeak(someone sending a link), a skype message, a steam message in the overlay, my antivirus reminding me that they want my money, my frames per second drop from about 120 to around 90. I'm using a 144Hz G-sync monitor so you'd think that it wouldnt matter that much. It's not the nice kind of 90 fps though, thats just what the counter says. It will actually display about 10-15 fps for 4-5 seconds or till i open up the new message or close the antivirus pop-up. I had this problem too with my old hardware, thats why i upgraded it so maybe it'd stop. I'm 99% sure that this is a software issue, did i mess up somewhere? is there a setting somewhere in windows / my drivers that give priority to notifications instead of games? none of my friends seem to have this problem.

Dont play in window or windowed fullscreen mode, dont use overwolf or any other "overlay" programs and it should be taken care off.

That problem is most likely caused by something you did install on the system. I actually did never hear of such an issue, especially with that hardware its just not realistic.

Also "upgrading", I do assume you did format your System drive and put a fresh windows install on it, right? If not thats something you should asap.
