There is no one "best" board tbh. You can only determine that as everyones needs on the board are different. Are you going to use m.2, RGB LED strips, what CPU do you have, are you going to overclock, what form factor do you need, mITX, mATX, ATX? These are really questions you need to answer. Then next, what is your theme, color scheme etc...

You don't need the best board if all you do is game. You will be wasting a lot of features. A good board that is up there is the Asus Hero VIII, and it's also not that pricey. Looks damn good too, had it in my old system.

7800x3d - RTX 4090 FE - 64GB-6000C30 - 2x2TB 990 Pro - 4K 144HZ

The gaming M5 from msi is decent. Has the red looks but it does lack RGB (you do get red lights though).

Alright, with RGB you have 2 options, you can have an external controller, or you can get an ASUS motherboard which has an RGB header on it that you can plug into and control them via the ASUS aura software.

Are you going to do automatic or manual overclocking?

Well this widens the selection. Take a look at the MSI m5 and m7 and the Asus pro gaming and Maximus hero VIII. There a lot of personal choice with motherboards so try to find some YouTube reviews that take a look on the boards and pick it yourself.

Pretty pricey! I would go with the hero instead since it still looks as great and probably has a load of Overclocking features anyway.
