You'd need new motherboard but if you have the money and can actually make use of it, then why not? I'd just gaming then it isn't worth it at all, better off going with a 6 core with higher clock speed or a 6700k

My rig:
CPU: i5 4690k 24/7 @4.4ghz (1.165v) Max 4.7ghz (1.325v) COOLER: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z97-A   RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical   GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC   PSU: EVGA GS 650W   CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB + WD Black 2TB

If you are going to use it for gaming then get the Intel Core i7-6700k or the Intel core i7-6800k. The 32GB is good for gaming, and especially good for content-creators as they need to render a ton of videos. Also, the Intel Core i7-6950X will be great for production and content creation. Keep in mind you will need a new motherboard so make sure you keep aside enough money to buy a good motherboard.

For motherboards, I'm not really the best person to ask. I do really like the Asus ROG STRIX X99 GAMING LGA-2011v3 Motherboard as it has everything you will possibly need, and is a great gaming motherboard, which will take care of the gaming aspect of things.
