Don't really plan on playing games this is just for visual effects and editing. I need a lot of ram for that so I chose 32gb.

If this is for visual effects you may want to consider getting the 1080, or a quadro card, as the GTX line are intended primarily for gaming.

I would agree but I need to spend under 2000 and likely I'll go SLI in the future. I use a Sony A7S ii which has an 8 bit color depth so the 1070 should still kill it. For Quadros I wasn't so sure if any are better than the 1070 for under $500?

Would you say the Quadro K2200 is better?
