I'm planning to build a rig for gaming only and I decided to go for an i5 6600 because I'm not planning to overclock it, but the GPU that I will use, that I will be overclocking it so Paul said from Paul's Hardware if you're getting an unlocked CPU you must go for the overclock enabled boards like Z170s.

My questions are if I'm not gonna overclock my CPU at all only my GPU which chipsets should I pick Z170 or B150, and can you overclock a GPU from B150?

I choose the MSI B150M Night Elf for the B150 chipset and the MSI Z170M Mortar for the Z170 chipset. I prefer the MSI coz I'm planning to buy the 1060 Gaming X from MSI too.

You can overclock a GPU on any chipset.

The only three reasons I can really think of to go for Z170 is to overclock your CPU, overclock your RAM, or take advantage of SLI, as H170, B150, and H110 do not support any of the above. Overclocking your GPU should be just fine with just B150.

Okay in my case I'd go for the B150, Thank you.
