Is it advisable to not use the CPU fan header for the radiator fans?

im using SpeedFan for custom fan curves.

but my i cant control cpu fan header with speedfan.im planning to use the cpu fan header on my exhaust fan and the other header for radiator fans

a fan is a fan, doesn't matter what the header is labeled, just that you match the pin output to the proper mode (PWM/DC).

 

as to the speedfan not working, have you reviewed thi:

 

you'll need to set up the app drivers before use.
