FPS Sudden Drop?

I have a gtx 960 4gb and i7-2600 about 2 weeks ago my fps just randomly went from 300 to 150 on high. Then I configured all my nvidia settings yet I still get that same 150 sometimes lower or higher fps on csgo no matter high medium or low. On 1v1 community arena i get like 350 fps so I don't understand. I cleaned my pc a few days ago and things are still the same but with some freezes that last about 2 seconds now. My temps and clock speeds are fine so I don't know what to do.

reinstall video drivers is my best guess

 

150fps is pretty swell... although if its occurring in other games then it's certainly a problem

In CS:GO you want 200fps all the time. It has to do with input lag. 60fps in CS:GO is basically unplayable.

Install 361.75. Those are 100% stable.

dat 5 year old cpu tho. 

Make sure you gpu isnt throttling. I've had mine do it for no apparant reason before

2600 still is a good cpu lmfao but my gpu is at its normal clock but as soon as i alt tab it goes back to idle clock and vise versa

Try CS:GO. It's VERY noticeable when you die before you even shoot. It's a twitch shooter. The faster person wins.

my ping is usually 100ms so 10ms input lag doesn't matter for shit to me

20 ping here. I notice it. A lot. Anything under 150 is noticeable for me

If you don't play games such as Dota 2, CS:GO or SC2 then you are not likely to notice but 1 frame there is the difference between victory and defeat.

In bronze league maybe :). Koreans can issue 250 commands per minute. 144Hz is a BIG factor for them.

after uninstalling current driver it said I can't install 361.75
