Hey guys, I'm thinking about upgrading my PC after 4 years. I'll only be bringing over my RX-530ss 530W PSU, optical drive, and 1TB HHD.

I'm hoping to be able to run most games at high with a 1440p 60Hz monitor.

Side Note: Now that I looked more into the 6600k, it seems to maybe too overkill for a 1060. Can you recommend me a good cpu that will not (trigger word)bottleneck a 1060 and just be enough.

Wait, With the CPU thing, an i5 5675c might be really nice for you, I have that.

no, there is no way at all a i5 will bottleneck a 1060. Seems like a good build. The only thing that I suggest is getting a SSD. Get the 6600k and overclock it and you will be good.

The i5 wont bottleneck the 1060, but I'd get a Xeon E3 1230 V5 in case you ever want to upgrade your GPU. Also get a new PSU. The one you have is pretty bad. Get an EVGA G2/P2/T2 or anything Seasonic, SuperFlower or XFX (Excluding the XT series)

@Matias_Chambers @EnemySp0tt3d I'm not stating that a 6600k will bottleneck a 1060. I was saying that I would like a recommendation on a CPU that would just be good enough for a GTX 1060 and that would also no bottleneck it. Not implying that my current choice(6600k) is a bottleneck.

Seems perfectly fine but why not get some faster RAM? It wont make it much faster but it will help a tiny bit, also heat-spreaders may look nicer in the rig!
