No Man's Sky.

Well... this game has been on my mind for 3 or 4 years, since it was first heard of. Now that it's coming out, I am more excited than I have ever been for a video game. On the day of this post, Sean Murray (Lead developer/CEO) released the plans for the first update, and my god they are beautiful. The game is supposed to take a turn and be completely different from the stolen early copies you might have seen on twitch, and by the looks of these patch notes, this statement looks to be true.

While a lot of people doubt this game, it's supposed to be great, and if it's not.. I'll still play it. My plan is not to keep my hopes too high. 

Anyways, below share your thoughts on the game and/or what you plan to do in it.

Hype turns a half decent reality into a mess of disappointment, if you have already bought into the hype chances are the end product will not live up regardless of it's actual quality.

 

That being said the concept behind the game is interesting to me since I like exploration

in spite of the humongous hype i'm still interested in buying this game. but i feel a lot of people are going to be let down because of unusually high expectations. the game is top seller on steam anyways; people are still on the hype train, and so are pre-orders on consoles. hopefully though, hello games will stand to their word and clean the state of the game from all the early players.

What I fear for this kind of game (Huge open world such as elite) is that the more you play, the less interesting it get. It will become a routine because diversity is limited without mods. Some players will get bored and leave. Since the univers is immense, encountering other players will be harder and harder. Eventually it will be like a manhunt in northern Canada.

IMO single player will just not be enough for open worlds

 

I haven't followed every news and features on this game. so maybe I missed some infos.

Way too much hype for this Game. It will not hold what it promisse is my guess.

I like the concept, but i doubt it will be the groundbreaking thing they want us to think it is.

 

Btw. Can we switch to German on LTT?
