don't get founders edition. Get a lower wattage and better power supply. EVGA g2/p2 is the best. Get a higher gig ssd, and a 1tb hard drive. Dont get a 120mm rad. Its a waste. Air cooling is just as good. If you want to water, get a 240mm rad or higher.

Looks good. A couple things, though: An aftermarket 1070 will probably serve you better. Higher clock out of the box, way better cooling, better power delivery and better overclocking. But if you already have the FE card it's not a tragedy. Also switch out the PSU for something better, Like an EVGA G2. Also lower the wattage, 1000 is overkill even if you want to SLI with another 1070 in the future.

Drop the SSHD as well as they are not worth the money. Just go with an SSD and HDD.

Dominator ram is also overpriced so you could save some money by going with a different kit.

Ok, changed some things to you all's recommendations.

Case - Corsair 400C

Motherboard - Asus Maximus VIII Gene Z170

CPU - i7 6700K

CPU Cooler - Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 240mm

GPU - Asus GTX 1070 ROG Strix OC

RAM - 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX 2800MHz

PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA 850w G2

SSD - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB

HDD - Seagate 1TB

OS - Windows 10

This new build is $186.15 cheaper, which I think I'll be putting towards a better monitor, the Asus ROG Swift. Or should I just pocket that extra cash and stick with 1080p? I'm worried the 1070 won't be able to handle future games in 1440p/60fps...

Keyboard: Corsair K70 RAPIDFIRE Wired Gaming Keyboard  ($109.99 @ Newegg)

^Heavily recommending this over the M45, make sure you get this specific model and not the one with laser sensor.
Total: $1874.32

Cheap OS: Windows 10 Professional OEM ($30 @ Kinguin.net)

If you're not into competitive games like CSGO or overwatch where 144Hz is a must, I'd recommend you go with a 1440p 60Hz monitor instead. 1440p monitors should be cheaper than a Gsync 1080p.
