ipad disconnects

when i connect my iPad air via lightning to my iMac it keeps disconecting,unless i press the cable into the iPad.my first tought,take an iPhone cable,but it did not change anything.

the strangest thing is ,that when i plug them in to my lenovo carbon x1,i works fine,no matter what i do with the cable. anyone knows what hapening here?
