GPU under preforming.

So im playing minecraft on my gtx 1070 and im only getting 120 tops fps. Why? The 970 gets like 500 and its worse! Why is this and how can i fix it?

Make sure you don't have a framerate cap set in the graphics settings.

Minecraft is very badly optimized. I get only 50 fps and its using 20% cpu and 10% gpu... (and ram usage is also low)

It might have something to do with opengl and newer drivers.

But what about the 970 it gets crazy fps.

IDK i cant check clocks as only have 1 monitor

of course you can,i personally use after afterburners on screen display(osd)

but you could also try nzxt's cam or evga's precision x to overlay gpu information ingame

If you updated your drivers recently, for some dumb reason NVIDIA's driver settings (at least with mine) defaults Vsync to on. So I'd check that too.

I'm also suspicious that GPUs or drivers these days are automagically dumping excessive workloads.
