Help! High cpu usage

Hey guys this is my first post on here but I havn't had any luck figuring this out myself. I have a clean install of windows 7 and for some reason the core 0 on my cpu is stuck at high percentages, I'm hoping it's not hardware related?

Check your processes and list them with the process consuming the most cycles at the top, and check off the little box in the left hand corner stating you want to view all processes.

 

It's probably software causing it. That being said, CPU usage is at 7% which is not high.

Its most likely nothing, your not even using 2 cores..  Just don't worry..

One of the most common causes is going to be windows updates. This seems to be the most likely since you just did a clean install of Windows.

Is the first core really supposed to be pinned that high though?

downloading and installing updates are probably a single threaded application so its only going to use 1 core.
