Can you maybe take a picture, the ram tabs that you refer to should not be getting effecting the gpu placement.

Isnt that space enough for the gpu to fit? (if i am correct on the 1070 g1 gaming the backplate sticks out above the pci connector, if that makes any sense...anyhow it should be enough space)

make sure you're positioning it correctly

you shouldn't be having issues with it, if you still do - get a different card

i just broke them problem solved

there is still the upper tabs to hold the Ram sticks into place and yea it is enough
