hey guys, so i picked up a cm storm alcor on sale from my nearest dealer about 6 months ago. All was fine for about 4 months then the left mouse button started to do the double clicking problem, i updated the firmware then the problem was fix. Later this day it started doing it again, but switching firmwares aint fixing it no more. I was wondering if some of you guys know how to disassemble it because i want to try to fix it but i can't seem to open it (i removed two screws under them teflons, but it still wont open and i fear it might break if i force it) and there is no tutorials for this particular mouse or even for the mizar. but if all else fails, i would consider buying a new mouse and the best options for my budget is the g302 or cougar 500m. thanks in advance :D

That's a common problem with mice. There's not much you can do yourself. Disassembling and cleaning can help but that's about it.

The issue is "switch bouncing". When you click, the switch seems to close and when you release the button, it seems to open. BUt on a very tiny scale, this is definitely not the case. The switch bounces like a spring closed and open several times on every click and a piece of separate hardware or software or combination of the two called "swtich de-bouncer" does it's best to cancel the effect. There are various ways to implement a de-bouncer and some work better than others and they can always be made better via firmware updates. But tiny differences in the swithces and dirt in them can easily make it so that the de-bouncer can't complete it's task fully.

More often than not, nothing short of a replacement unit works. And usually this is entirely RMA-able. The mouse should be designed in a way that dirt can't get into the contacts in normal use. Obviously, if there's a half a bottle of Dr. Pepper in there, it's not "normal use".

Man that is like a huge problem with the G600! I delt with it for like a yea until I was doing some Photoshop work and couldn't deal with it.
Now I'm not sure if the mechanics on your mouse is the same as mine but for the Logictech G600 it was a little piece of metal that just needed to be bent a bit because over time/use it flattened out.

This is the video I used to fix it. If your mouse uses Omrom switches then this may be a solution.
