Lian li pc-o7s

Go to solution Solved by ThinkWithPortals,

About the Hue, I found a YT video of it installed in this case, so it will work.

So I'm looking to build my enthusiasts pc and the pc-o7s case by lian li is the best case for what I'm looking for. I was wondering if anyone knew if I could install a hue+ by NZXT so I could get the lighting system I want. If not does anyone know any similar style cases with a tempered glass side panel or a better lighting system for slim form factor?

My motherboard is an msi X99A SLI Krait Edition and my gpu is an Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980ti.

Welcome to the forums!

For the NZXT Hue+ it's not case specific so you can configure and run/stick the lights in any way you want. Only thing is you need to install the controller somewhere but some doubled sided tape or velcro can easily take care of that.

As for a PSU what components are you running.

My rig has a Intel i7 6800k cpu, GeForce gtx 980ti gpu, I'm looking to put a blue ray slim factor optical drive but I haven't specified a type, 16gb DDR4 ram white, and initially one Samsung 850 pro 256gb 2.5 inch ssd and a 3.5 inch WD 1tb HDD. Also I'm going for a white and black color scheme.

For all of that it shouldn't use more than ~575W at max load maybe just shy of 600W, more if you overclock of course. I would suggest to get something like a 750W if your only planning on one GPU, the EVGA G2 or XFX series of PSU's would be good.

Thanks to both of you, would yall have any other recommendations for my build by chance? If not thanks again for everything. Long term I'd like to use a 1080 gpu once the price drops and add a high end audio card and capture card

Overall that sounds pretty good to me, the PSU will be more than enough to run the GTX 1080 as it's more power efficient than the GTX 980ti.
