k, but i dont buy it. games usually arent "required" to be at high settings.

CPU bottlenecks show up even at the lowest settings, the latest Intel dual cores are OK for some games but in many others they get creamed by the i5 and i7s.

 

I would strongly suggest an Ivy Bridge or newer i5/i7 over the latest dual cores.

its important to keep "use case" in mind. I3 are intended to be used in a light workload, like using the internet or Microsoft word and such. For those tasks, it does well. It's absolutely not designed for gaming or any other power hungry programs. OP mentioned that the build was value aimed, i3 are not a good value for a gaming application.

Cool. Next time i see someone with a budget system i'll tell him to pay 100 dollars extra on a cpu.:)
