Nope. They only bend if you do something to bend them, like apply a ton of pressure to one side/point. So just keep the load even. :)

Do Intel Skylake CPUs still bend? I want to get an i5 6600K and use a 212 Evo cooler, but im afraid it will bend the CPU..

Hahah it isn't like Intel made them thicker. The only way you are going to get it to bend is by using a drill. Just hand tighten the screws and don't death torque it.

Nope. They only bend if you do something to bend them, like apply a ton of pressure to one side/point. So just keep the load even. :)

Who's started spreading rumors that processors bend? Intel's had the same exact mounting system, the same mechanical processor layout and the same quality control for over ten years and all of the sudden people are worrying if they bend. OP, where'd you hear that they bend? Is this some 4chan crap again?

Pcgamer used an electric screwdriver to mount coolers last year and they bended the cpus

i've removed and replaced the heatsink of my 6600k about 5 times since i'd had it and no sign of it bending it's just people panicking over nothing really.

They definitely overtightened and/or didn't properly distribute the force. It's even less of a real issue than Bendgate - it basically doesn't exist unless you try to mess it up, in which case you will, of course, succeed.
