CPU heat

How hot can an i3 3220 go because I went on intel and found " TCASE". Does that mean the highest the temperature will go before down clocking it self so it can cool down.

I have a build with the i3 in and when the cpu is being used in some games it gets around the 57c 58c mark. Does this CPU only go to 65.3c and I've heard the stock fans from intel are bad but unless I did not put enough thermal paste on in which I think I did then they are not that good for the cooling.

Thanks

You're fine with those temps. The chips have a built in thermal limit of 100c, after that they will likely shut down to prevent damage. The stock coolers are fine for chips that cant be OC'd.

TCASE is the highest temperature at the heat spreader. Most Intel processors since Sandy Bridge are good at a core temperature up to about 100C.
