So, disregarding the Corsair ones, what would you say is the difference between Cablemod and Bitfenix? The flexibility?

I've a Bitfenix extension cable and it's stiff and nice. I'd say they're similar but I've used Cablemod cables in several builds and they're just so much better quality. They look hand put-together while the Bitfenix was clearly done by a machine in a hurry in comparison.

So, I just finished building my rig. And the included 24-pin cable was an absolute bitch to work with, and I'm still not satisfied with how it looks. I figure I will get a set of individually sleeved set of replacement cables.

Now, I have found these three sets on Newegg.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812304008

Now, as far as I can see, the set from Corsair has heatshrink tubing on the ends and the other two don't. Is there anything specific about the cablemod cables that makes them worth the extra $20? Or is the Bitfenix set going to be just fine for my needs?

The Corsair one is quite cheap. The Cablemods just look more vibrant and don't come in a weird shape that needs a ton of training due to being packed in a box with flexible cabling.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I see. Thanks for the information.

Also, when they say they include two 4+4 pin EPS cables, are they actually 4+4 or just a single 8pin. The PSU supposedly came with 2x 4+4 pin cables and they just turned out to be 8pin cables. I have an 8 pin and a 4 pin header on my mobo, and I would like to test if it actually does help with overclocking as ASUS claims.

It won't unless you're using liquid nitrogen or something where you would crank the voltage up so hard that you actually need more power.

I see. In that case, I think I'll just go with the Cablemods.
