Need help

Since I will build a new pc soon (pcpartpicker link below) I want to upgrade my monitor which is a LG Flatron E225 (22'' 1080p 60Hz) and I don't know where I should go between 1080p or 1440p. I tend to fully upgrade my build each 3 years so if I could max out everything during those years it would be perfect. If I take a Gtx 1080 and not a Gtx 1070 I don't think I will have enough money soon to upgrade this monitor too (So it's 1080 or monitor).

Well,go for the monitor then since maxing out everything with G-Sync and 60+ fps
