GPU bios mod

I have an MSI R9 290X 4GB and my friend recently told me about something like there is a mod which you can put the R9 390 BIOS settings on the R9 290X if so is it even worth it. Thanks

No, I owned a 290 and a 390 and there was little to no difference between them. In fact the 290 overclocked better and so did better in games. Only thing I noticed about the 390 is it seemed better in synthetic benchmarks.

Oh right okay then. That's something I did not know. I might see how far I can push this 290x then. Thanks
