go with one of the IPS monitors

Okay.

So is it worth having a regular IPS monitor over a TN Freesync one?

Any reason why that one is better than the others?

How about this? Personally, I think 1440p is a better fit for a 390x, FreeSync or otherwise.

I'm not familiar with monitors so I really don't have any idea what is good or bad.

The ASUS MG248Q is your best choice, but getting a 1440p for the same price or even a little bit more won't hurt

Well I would assume any of those choices would be better than my 48" LG TV?

It would be nice to have FreeSync but most panels I saw are TN and those apparently have washed out colors compared to IPS.

First of all these ones

Are 5ms of response time and are 60Hz which is not bad,but the Asus one and AOC (This one) are 1ms and have a refresh rate of 144Hz which is better, personally i just think the Asus one looks cleaner than the AOC one

and you might want a higher hz monitor instead of a higher resolution monitor if you play mostly first person shooters

Omega-  I5 6600k | Gigabyte GTX 1060 | Cougar Panzer | DDR4 16GB 3000MHz | MSI Z170 Gaming M5

I have a LG IPS Panel monitor and a Laptop TN Panel alongside my LG 7 year old TN Panel,IPS looks better but TN looks really good as well,i would personally chose a 1ms 144Hz TN Panel over a 5ms 60Hz IPS panel any day, especially if its a Asus MG one since those look really nice

Okay.

So the Asus one is the best choice out of the 4?

I was told that a monitor is way better than a TV when it comes to response and picture quality

Intel Core I7 7820X | Asus Rampage VI | Gigabyte RX 580 XTR | 32GB Crucial Ballistix | NZXT Kraken X62

ADATA XPG 256GB PCIe| Cosmos C700P CM | Lepa MaxPlatinum 1050W

Way better,The Asus one is the best to me,since it's cleaner than the AOC and Asus is a more famous company than AOC (AOC is as well but people usually chose Asus since its more famous)

Besides looks, the Asus one is better because of the 144Hz & 1ms response compared to the other two monitors 5ms & 60Hz?

True but I rather pay extra for a brand I know and also I can pick up the monitor in store.

The AOC one is online only.
