Hey LTT community, I have an issue. Just randomly out of the blue my phone just stopped working yesterday and wouldn't charge when I woke up that morning. I charged it for 6 hours still no LED's or any sign of life for that matter. I tried the old volume down power button reset but that didnt do anything either. I have never used it in water on purpose and it hasn't had any moisture inside the ports pretty much ever. Its really strange because im charging my phone, no indication that its charging at all, BUT it is getting quite hot. Honestly I cant remember if I got a warranty on it because I bought it without a plan. This is my first android phone I have had it for 6 months now. Its been working great up until this point. Thanks!

If you bought it from a carrier or directly from Samsung, you should have warranty on it. Which charger are you using the charge the phone? The one included with the device or an aftermarket one?

I am using the one included with the device.

If it has not been dropped or anything like that I would contact Samsung and report it as a faulty device, their warranty should cover a free replacement if you don't mind waiting for the replacement or go to your carrier if you don't mind paying the replacement fee if you have a warranty to get one now.

Have you tried holding Volume Up + Power + Home? There seems to be conflicting information on whether it's required to have the Home button held as well.

Ran into similar problems with my Xperia SP. I usually resolve it but I just letting it charge longer than usual. Typically happens when the battery is drained too far.
