First PC Build (I would like advice on what hardware and software I would need to obtain)

Stitched

I created a post during Christmas of 2015 and got some build suggestions. I just want to know if there is anyway to improve on this pricewise.

1. Budget & Location

Budget: Nothing more than $3000 (maybe a little over if necessary) Location: Australia

2. Aim

Gaming (Games include, League of Legends, Overwatch, Garry's Mod, The Forest, (My current laptop that I use runs this at 10 fps at max with all graphics as low as it can get), a bunch more steam games etc.), I would also use it for video editing, audio mixing, composing music, animating, web browsing, etc.

3. Monitors

I plan on running 2 monitors when I first get that computer then get 3 in 2017 (depends if my current laptop survives), I currently have an older monitor that is used to hook up to my laptop which has a resolution of 1366x768 (15 inch screen I think.). I was thinking to use this is my primary monitor (AOC I2269VW 21.5" 60Hz Monitor) unless there is a better option when it comes to price or performance. (P.S Don't worry about the old monitor as I will just not use it afterwards anyway.)

4. Peripherals

Standard keyboard and speakers will be needed, I already have a mouse to use, no need for extra monitors other than the one described above (unless there is change). I will be running Windows 10 OS on it.

5. Why are you upgrading?

I am not really upgrading since I do not currently own a desktop personally, just a laptop. I am wanting one for multimedia projects for school, gaming, video editing, audio mixing etc. And with my current laptop it does not run as fast as I would like it to and all my games have to be put on the lowest graphics settings just to get 60 fps at the max (excluding ones that do not need higher graphic cards such as pixel games).

The builds that were previously suggested to me were:

PSUs are weird in AUS

otherwise there ya go, the 390x is probably about the best performance per dollar as far the high end goes, the next step up is like 200-300 more

includes a 1440p 144hz tn Free-sync display, you should also look for a 40" 4k display instead, productivity will be infinitely better

Final notes:

  • I am planning on buying parts for this in the coming weeks.
  • I only want what is suitable for my specifications, best value would be nice because the current exchange rate from US$ to AU$ is slack, something around $1 AU is = to $1.45 US (that is if I need to pay in US$)
  • If you need to ask extra questions please do so.
  • If you find anything in this post you do not understand that needs clarification please ask.
  • The price of the pc can go a bit over the budget if need be but definitely not more than $4500
  • Please note that this is my first pc build and I am requiring suggestions and advice on what hardware and software to use)

Thanks for your time if you reply to this.

[Edit] - Basically I just want a computer that runs fast enough to play games, create media projects and other things like that.

I'd just stick to my original build probably with some updates like a 480 for 1080p gaming, although I threw in a much higher end display there

Do you want to spend all your budget? because for the most part you could get away with an i7 6700 and an RX 480 + free-sync display upgrade potentially for less, the 5820K is just nice to have

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
