My friend is unable to make a post but he want a laptop primaraly for work he does graphic design and has made banners for Ser Winter gaming on YouTube and many more.

Take a look if you want: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV9SyA2TtSlclcA3qUXTdqQ

He wants a laptop which can run the adobe programs such as illustrator. He wants the budget around £600 or $790.

If its possible he would also like to mess around on unity or cry engine, don't ask why he just wants to...

im not great with laptops so thats why i turned to the internet

I found this  http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/cosmosIV-17/ by having quick look. I would probably swap some of the parts around such as the processor and ram to fit your needs.

The thinkpad above is also a good option.

A solid used W530 should do nicely. Or if they want something smaller and newer, a t450 would do okay.

Where does your friend live? That's actually the most important point. Prices fluctuate wildly depending on where you get it. I'm assuming UK?

Ok so these are some of the illustrator cc (2015) requirements. Have a look at https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/system-requirements.html for the full list.

  • Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64 processor
  • Microsoft Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10
  • 1 GB of RAM (3 GB recommended) for 32 bit; 2 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended) for 64 bit
  • 2 GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on removable flash storage devices)
  • Optional: To use GPU Performance: an Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD video adapter from those listed below (medium/high-end recommended); 1 GB of VRAM (2 GB recommended); and latest drivers for optimal performance.

This should give you a better idea at what you are looking at.

Yes. You can remove the operating system and it'll save u 80 quid. You might want to upgrade other things then like having a small 128gb ssd for boot times. But ultimately it's your choice. You can also go back up to the 17inch version as the one I linked you is 15inch. If your friend prefers a large screen by all means.

Have a look online. I would also try to find out unity and cryengine requirements, as gaming development software is quite demanding. Other than that I would also contact a specialist.
