Upgarding 2 PCs for 550€ ish.

So I was tasked with the challenge to upgrade a friend's and his wife's PC.

AMD Phenom 2 X4 940					AMD PhenomX4 955
4Gb RAM					4Gb RAM
Asus M3NHT Deluxe					Asus M5A88-V Evo
GT 640 2Gb					GTX 550 Ti 1Gb

These 2 PCs are what I have to work with. both should be upgraded without exceding 500€ pricepoint too much, so 550 is the limit.

 

I'm currently planing around 2 AMD FX-6300 which are for sale at 90€ boxed each. One of these 2 PCs sports a AM3+ Socket so that's good.
I'd also add another motherboard around 65€ and 8Gbs of RAM.

What's left is needed for at least 1 graphics card, preferably 2. Most likely RX 470 or 460 once they are out.

Any problems with that, or suggestions for alternatives?

 

They are both mostly playing WoW so the requierements aren't that high.

I'm not 100% sure on the AMD but price/performance in regards to the AM3+ board seems good.

An alternative would be using the 860k which is 30€ cheaper.

860k plus some 750Ti's would make great machines.

I'm just looking into the 860k, it's barely slower but significantly cheaper so right now I'm planing on upgradign the right PC with the 6300 and making a new "core setup" around the 860k. Thus saving more for the grafic cards.

Not 100% certain yet. Either them, 950 or the new RX 470 (if it comes around this or next week).

The different between the 950 and the 750Ti is only 30€, gotta check wether that is worth saving or not.
My current budget is at 285€ / 550€ (more ram + shipping) so I've got up to 300€ for 2 grafic cards. that can buy something decent
