First task, aquire a server. Arma 3 is veru cpu intensive so I reccomend a R710 or a R610. A 2950 or 380 G5 could work but Im not sure if it would be good.

I have already purchased a dedicated server from OVH it's the Game MC-32.

That i7 should be plenty, and because it is a rented server it should have internet speeds as well.

IIRC OVH allows you to choose which OS you want installed. The easiest option for you would probably be to choose a full Ubuntu install. Then they should give you the information needed to connect to your server using a protocol known as SSH. You'll then want to download an SSH client to connect with, and assuming you are on windows, the one I recommend is called PuTTY.

Using the details provided to you by OVH, connect to your server with PuTTY. You should be dropped into something called a terminal. (If it is scary looking, don't worry. That feeling doesn't last too long). The first thing you'll probably want to do is follow this tutorial on how to set up a program known as VNC, which will allow you to connect to a nice GUI running on your server to make things easier for you.

That's my firm limit on knowing what to do, but a quick google suggests you'll want to follow this tutorial. Most of those commands should be copy/paste into a terminal you open from your VNC connection, and that way whenever you want to check on your server console or do something else on your server, the command is easily displayed on your (remote) desktop.

If you have any other questions, ask and I'll do my best to help you out.
