so on my DESKTOP PC, i run an r9-380x and an i5-4590

So I was having a lot of issues with my drivers and after a lot of troubleshooting and googling I figured out that somehow I got a hybrid graphics setup, like a laptop.

So I figured out when I go into AMD settings I click on preferences and click on more options I can look at additional settings.

So usually there is a power tab in which you can manage the hybrid setup. But I don;t have that on my PC and this setup is preventing me from playing multiple games.

How would i go about fixing this????

Thanks for your help!

Are you referring to Hybrid Crossfire? That's only for AMD APUs paired with low to mid range AMD GPUs.

no I didn't even know I had it.... I actually got this from a support web site that stopped responding to me

here is what they said:

Greetings jvb50m,

We can see that you have a system with "hybrid" graphics.

What this means is, your computer has a low use/low power "Intel" onboard card and a more gaming based AMD/ATI card that launches when demand for 3D graphics goes up, like when you play World of Warships.

What might have happened is the game saw just the Intel card when it launched, configured settings for that card but then as demand went up the AMD/ATI card never "kicked in".

The problem in that instance is the game is still trying to communicate with the Intel card instead of performing the "on the fly" switch over.

We recommend that you go to the AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition that should already be installed on your laptop to verify that your AMD/ATI GPU is being used for game play.
