The purpose of this build is to replace my old system which I gifted to my friend. This build will hopefully be an improvement, but I just want to able to play Overwatch, Rocket League, Hearthstone, CSGO, and possibly future popular online games with my friends. My budget is about $300-400 USD and I reside in the states. I currently have an EVGA GTX 670 FTW that I got from my sister after I bought her a 1070. I would like to reuse this card to save money, but I am considering 1070 for myself in the future. I choose to play all my games on the lowest settings, not sure why, but that's just what ends up happening. I have a 23" Samsung LED 60hz monitor and I do no intend to have more than one monitor for the future. I do not need an OS as I have a spare.

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated!

OLD BUILD:

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K

MOBO: MSI A68HM-E33 V2

PSU: 500W from case

STOR: 128 GB SSD

GPU: EVGA GTX 960

RAM: 1866 RAM 8GB (1x8)

NEW BUILD

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

PSU: EVGA 450W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

STOR: 128 GB SSD (REUSING)

GPU: EVGA GTX 670 FTW (REUSING)

RAM: 2133 DDR4 RAM 8GB (1x8)

Here is the part picker list. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/6DkHBP

My thoughts, I hope 450W will be enough as the watt calculators have been all over the place for my build. Some saying I need 300W with others saying I need 500W. I understand with this MOBO I am restricted to 2133 RAM, but I'm not sure how big of a deal that is. Should I invest in a board that can handle better RAM in the future?

Thanks for reading guys!

The speed of the RAM does not affect performance by a lot, probably won't even affect it at all in some cases. so don't invest in more RAM.

I think 450 watts will be great for your build as you aren't using high performance hardware meaning you won't be able to play graphics intensive games.

I would only invest in a better GPU and more storage but if 120GB is good for you, then sure use 120GB but this is just my opinion.

Go with your 860k build with a better PSU to be honest.

Is there any particular reason why? If I invested in a better MOBO and considered buying a 1070 in 6 months would that be more worthwhile then?

Mainly because the games you want to play aren't really intense enough to warrant a 6500. And that 670 will hold it back.  And still would invest in a better PSU rather than mobo, if you do plan on going with the 6500.

Hmm, would it make more sense to go with an i3-6100, same MOBO, and some better PSU, and get a 1070 down the road if I need to play something more intensive?

i3 would be fine, but wouldn't toss a 1070 with it. Maybe a 480 or 1060.

If I opted for an i3-6100 instead, and grabbed a 1070 down the road, would this PSU still be sufficient for the rig?

$75 and only bronze? Not even mentioning the fact that it's pretty mediocre, I wouldn't get it. I'd go for the 650 watt GQ from EVGA if you're going to spend $75 for a PSU.
