On windows 7 sound is perfect, also on 8.1. Motherboard is the old one Gigabyte GA-P41-ES3G. (i know it's bad but i want to wait for Zen or Kaby Lake to upgrade)

Tried that before but i'll try it again now.

I've solved the pops and crackles from Realtek chips, and others, by going to Control Panel Power Settings and setting 'Minimum processor state' to 100%.
Not ideal, but serves as a workaround until they release better audio drivers for windows 10

Once upgraded to 10, had problem with sound...it's like crackling all the time when listening to music. It was so bad that i had to go to Win7 again. Today i upgraded again to 10 hoping it won't be same as before but unfortunately it's still same... what to do? Also first time i used 10 i reinstalled audio drivers but it was same after that.

outdated audio drivers. If you have a sound card, look for software specifically designed to be used for windows 10. I wouldn't even suggest the multi platform software, just go with the pure windows 10 software.

Now it really does sound like a cable is loose, but if this does not occur on windows 7 it does sound weird.

What motherboard do you have? @frozeNNN

You won't believe me but that was the problem on clean install as well but it was the first version of Win10 so i thought it was because of that..

Try my solution and Im 100% sure it will work. I have a part time job at a PC repair shop in NYC, and several people who have came in experienced this problem after upgrading to windows 10. It will work.

Yes it works! Thanks man. Can you tell me what this option is about? Will it affect something else?

I literally just played around with windows settings found that and tweaked it, did it first on my grandpas computer and have been applying it ever since. Other reddit users have agreed with me as well and have taken my method and provided rationals to my method, but I'm not as big into software as I am into hardware but as far as I can see, my grandpas pc is working fine and their is no difference. Enjoy I'm glad to have helped :)

I'd recommend you to create a notification somewhere so you can check if they released a new version, as he covered it is only a temporary solution

Read my guide about malware removal here!

My solution is fine until the better optimized drivers are released, no need for further replies.
