I've opened this discussion many times, but with no resaults. A couple of months ago i bought a new pc and imidiatelly i realised there was micro-stutter in all games. People here told Me it was the gpu. So i changed it (270x), did not fix a thing. Next they told Me 4 ram was low and it was causing stuttering So i upgraded to 8, nothing changed. Next it was the psu, again nothing changed. Then the hdd and again nothing. What could the stuttering be from? Maybe my monitor is causing it because its 11 years old? Or my cpu because of temp issues? I don't know what to do at this point. Everything is up to date. Drivers, windows. Help!

Motherboard: msi a68hm e-33 v2

Cpu: amd athlon 3,1 4core 840

Gpu:asus r9 270x

Psu: cooler master 500w(idk the full name)

Ram:8gb

What games are you playing where the problem occurs?  is it all games or only certain ones?  Any other weird anomalies?

Your CPU is not great but I would think it should be able to feed a 270 easily.  Keep in mind that AMD GPUs generally have a higher CPU overhead, while at the same time AMD CPUs are a bit under powered.  My last CPU was an FX 8320 and I would occasionally see some stuttering in games.

If it was the monitor I would expect to see problems outside of gaming as well.

Ok enough guessing.  You need to diagnose the problem by doing some testing.  Install some hardware monitoring software such as hwmonitor, CPUID, GPUID, MSI Afterburner, etc.  The idea is to monitor your clock speeds, temperatures, utilization, fps, etc., all while running your games.  We need this data for your CPU and GPU at the same time.  Once you have this data, post results here and we'll see what we can learn from it.

My fps never goes bellow 60 in any game. Yes the stuttering appears in every game. It's not the gpu because i tried with 750ti and r7 250 and it still stuttered. Cpu usage is at 80 at max gpu usage 50% at max but i already said tha it isnt the gpu.

And if you turn all of the settings down to lowest possible, do you still get stuttering?

Try getting a friend to come over and connect his PC to the monitor and try gaming, if it still flickers then it is 100% the monitor, or a faulty display cable. If you had not switched out your graphics card, I would have said to go ahead and reset to the last drivers update, this happened to me once I updated to the latest NVIDA drivers for my two gtx 980s, I went into game and it flickered. So, I just reseted the drivers to the older version and it was fine. Also, forgot to mention that you should have a buddy bring over a new display cable and see if that fixes the problem. Good luck.

I will buy a new monitor anyway. But it's not flickering it's micro-stutter stuttering ( Mini freezes)
