That's a great deal for an FX 8-Core. I would agree on a i5, not necessarily an i3.

Judging by your prices it looks like your budget is ~$600. Therefore I have a couple of questions for you:

1. Where do you live?

2. What is your budget?

With budgets under $600 I suggest buying some of your computer parts used. This way you can get significantly more performance/dollar.

I live about an hour away from San Francisco, I don't really want to give out the name of the city, and yes, my budget is 600$.

OK so with this build I managed to fit in a 128GB SSD, a GPU of the same power, a better single-threaded CPU, and 12GB of RAM. Here we go:

Buy THIS dell computer from ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/331921184631

From this computer we are going to scrap the CPU and the RAM. Now we will have an i7-2600 (a still very good CPU even today) and 4GB of RAM for $145. What you do with the other parts of the machine I honestly do not care. We just care about the CPU and RAM.

Now go to ebay and buy this motherboard:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/331523931926

It is an OEM Intel board, nothing special. But it will hold our parts and do just fine.

Now get an HDD for the computer:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/311664625709

Currently there are 2TB Hitachi drives being sold on ebay for dirt cheap. Don't worry about the drive being used as we are only going to use it for mass storage. Our OS will all go on the 120GB SSD.

Everything else we can buy new including:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Memory: Mushkin Silverline 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($27.49 @ Newegg)
Storage: Silicon Power Silm S55 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($34.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 390 8GB Double Dissipation Video Card  ($249.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($34.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($45.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $393.43
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-07-27 23:54 EDT-0400

Grand total = $600.40 (Yes, I went 40 cents over budget)

Comparing this build to yours you will get:

1. A faster CPU

2. A video card of the same speed (without having to wait for the RX 480 prices to come down, although if you can find an RX 480 for the same price, I reccomend buying that instead)

3. a 120GB SSD

4. 12GB of RAM.

5. A 2TB HDD

Although there was one thing I had to skimp on. I needed to get a cheaper case in order to fit in the SSD, because your case has no impact on overall system performance.

If you want better single-threaded CPU performance, an SSD and more RAM, this is the build you want to do.

Ok, thank you so much for your help!

Mixing ram is bad

I'm a educated fool with money on my mind.

They say i got to learn but nobody here to teach me,if they can't understand it how can they reach me

Power and the money, money and the power, minute after minute, hour after hour
