Hi,

i am going to get a TV (Hisense H43MEC3050), and i'm struggling to decide which size i want. (It is a 4k TV)

Either 43" for 399€, or the 49" for 499€, i am sitting around 2.5m away from the TV. I'd play some games (like Witcher 3) and watch things like Amazon Prime, Netflix and Youtube.

.. since it's the first TV i really buy for myself (yes, i haven't died using my PC only until now^^), i am not really expierenced in choosing such.

Is the 6" more worth the 100€ premium? What would be best for this distance?

Thanks alot! :)

43 to 49 is a pretty large difference, but whether it is worth an extra 25% in price is up to you. Go to a store and look at them, or get out a measuring tape and imagine it at home.

The bigger the better IMHO, gives you more flexibility and longevity.

Also, you can immerse into the media more when the content covers more of your FOV. I'm running a 49 inch 4k TV on top of my monitor for movies and I love how it covers my whole focused vision.

Gaming wise, I prefer my monitor since I play a lot of multiplayer games where I need to be more aware of the surrounding. The TV size is great for immersion but sucks for actually giving you informations. Not to mention the TV input lag is unbearable for multiplayer.

Single player is not bad but my pc not powerful enough to run games at 60 fps on high settings. I prefer eye candy rather resolution. One neat thing you can do is run 3440*1440 letterbox gaming. It gives a better UI experience and performance without losing any of the immersion IMHO in games that supports it.

Thanks for your answer, beside the TV, i ofcourse still have my Monitor (Browsing Internet, playing most Games like Starcraft 2 or csgo) - TV would be for watching movies and play games you can easly play with Gamepad - like Witcher 3 .. DarkSouls etc.

Think i'll go for the 49" one then, thx alot ;)
