This friday im heading on a 4 hour trip up north for my birthday. I plan to take my pc along with me so i can show off the vive to some friends and family only problem is that my pc is cutom cooled with a rigid loop and has about a liter of water in it. Id rather not have to drain it. Would it be safe to transport my pc with the water in it, inside my car? what precautions should i take? what would you recommend i should do.

Fill it full of bubble wrap so if anything does come loose, it doesn't damage anything else. If you're driving, it should be fine in my opinion provided all the fittings are snug and not leaking.

#1 most important thing when transporting computers. Lay it horizontally. this puts the weight of everything onto the motherboard, rather than onto the motherboard ports. Motherboards are tough, they can handle it np.

#2 most important thing when transporting computers. Remember that you are transporting a computer. Avoid the potholes, don't be driving like a maniac, accelerate a bit slower and stop a bit slower than usual

#3 most important thing when transporting computers. Wrap your computer in soft towels, or bubblewrap or something along those lines. Let it lay on a seat rather than in a trunk. The softer the things its laying on, the less jarring will happen to your computer during transport.

I have taken my rig on week long car rides without draining. As long as its on its side and everything inside is secure you will be fine. Bubble wrap is recomended and towels to. Make sure that your res is ok with being on its side. (Just make sure it doesnt leak on its side) and you are good to go.
