I am pretty much sure that the i5 2400 would not bottleneck a 1060. It is a very capable cpu.

For LGA1155 you can not get anything above quad core. The best you can really get is something like an i7-3770K. That is an expensive cpu. You should upgrade to a motherboard with a different socket when you replace your cpu.

really I see some result that i5 2400 will bottleneck the gtx 970 in some games. I doubt that i5 2400 will not bottleneck the gtx1060

I wouldn't replace the CPU with that socket. LGA1155 is gone, you need a newer motherboard if you want to upgrade the cpu. You won't be seeing a lot of difference, even if you pay something like £300 on a shiny i7.

is lga2011v3 same as lga1151? Why should I get the core series (in used market xeon usually have lower price)

You need to understand that motherboards have different sockets and require certain types of cpus to fit inside of those sockets. I recommend using the LGA2011 v3 socket because it supports higher performing processors than 1151.

They are clearly different things. 2011 and 1151 are different numbers. It is the amount of pins on the motherboard socket.

Do not buy a Xeon, and make sure that you buy a cpu with the same number as your motherboard or it will NOT fit in, and will just be a waste of money.

Do not buy a Xeon. Buy a Core series (i3, i5, i7).

An i5 2400 is fine with a 970,

2011-3 should only be recommended for serious enthusiasts or people who need compute power, a more sensible choise is 1150, or 1151.

Let alone the cheapest i7 that is 2011-3 is $350USD.

No troll. He insisted on buying a new cpu, i had already recommended that he did not. I own an i5 2400, and i think it is fast and capable for all I need, as i have sent earlier.

No trolling in recommending lga 2011-3, over 1151, or 1150, and to conpletely avoid xeons, the only one I would recommend though is the haswell e3s.
