I own a pair of HyperX cloud 2s and the microphone started buzzing really loudly recently when plugged in, after listening to it i figured I would just try a different USB port, I touched the case of my PC which is metal and the buzzing stopped, it stopped everytime i touched my PC case. Does anyone have a long term solution that will fix this?

Yeah, I have the same problem with my Corsair HS40. Your PSU is "leaking" static electricity.

In order to fix this I have done this:

  • Get a random power cable and cut both ends of it.
  • Put one cable on PC, the other one on you or your radiator while using the microphone.

In order to put the cable on PC I just wrapped the cable around case screw. The other end goes into my sock. Only when using my mic, obviously.
