Allot cheaper,G-sync monitors require this little G-sync chip which costs the monitor to raise up in price $150+,while FreeSync is software based

This will be my first gaming PC what do you think which? Which parts should I change? Is it all good how it is?

CPU: i5 6600k

GPU: RX 480 8GB Sapphire ( custom design )

Motherboard: MSI Z170M Mortar

CPU Cooler: be Quiet Pure Rock

RAM: 16GB DDR4 by Crucial ( 2 DIMMs )

PSU: Coolermaster G450M

HDD: 1TB WD Blue

SSD: HyperX Savage 120GB

Case: ThermalTake Core V21

im only going with a 120GB SSD because I don't need much storage and I don't want to invest more money.

do you think the RX 480 8GB is a good choice over the GTX 1060 ?

im not building a full size ATX tower PC because I like the case and I want a bit of variety.

i want to hear your opinion on this configuration , be honest

so in selected few it can compete with it, wonderfull. that being said 480 isnt a bad choice, but if you can afford 1060 get that one

It can compete with the 1060 in every single game since there similar to performance + if he gets a freesync monitor thats even better

I'm not saying that it hinders performance...just joking around. IK how much people get irritated about it lol.

in tech, 10-5 fps means win, so no it doesnt compete with it. Also gsync. And mixin doesnt do fuck all.

What does 10-5 fps mean if your already getting above 60fps on ultra + a freesync monitor to smooth everything out like a baby's but

I would take that ANYDAY over a 1060 for 10-5 fps which i cant even see and cant smooth out

well good to hear your opinion. Also i mean that mixin amd and intel does fuck all, so theres no reason to not go with amd and intel

Hey I made a configuration for my friend, his budget is about 800€ and this is what I picked out.

CPU: i5 6500
GPU: Sapphire RX 480 4GB
Mainboard: AsRock H110M ITX/ac
CPU Cooler: BeQuiet Pure Rock
RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport white ( 1 DIMM )
HDD: 1TB Seagate
SSD: HyperX Savage 120GB
PSU: Coolermaster G450M
Case: Fractal Designe Nano S

Yeah this is it what do you think? He wanted the Nano S as his case I don't know why he just picked it out. Pls write some things that I can adjust ( or say that it'd good :D)

Possibly a motherboard which doesn't have overclocking support, as he doesn't need it

Can you link us to where you're shopping?

What do you mean by wanting variety and going with the Nano S? When it comes to case sizes, the Nano S is as big as many matx cases and going itx is usually more expensive.

Why go with a Pure Rock as opposed to sticking with the stock cooler?

I'm "shopping" at the price compare site "Geizhals" ( it's German).

my friend picked it out , I guess he didn't want a big case ( he took the noise isolated version with no side panel) plus it shouldn't be too loud. I picked the pure rock cooler because I will be using it myself and I on,y heard bad things about the stock cooler and only good things about the pure rock.
