Dual 280X?

Will a 700W GS series Corsair powersupply be enough for a crossfire (dual) 280X? If needed for reference, think of a 7970.

Most likely yes but why would anybody consider it the 7970 Ghz is essentially the same card and prices are going to drop more when the new cards actually launch

I would personally get a 750W psu to be on the safe side imo. But it would handle it imo.

I have exactly same situation, i am going to buy two 280x MATRIX cards which have 300w TDP, so i need to upgrade my PSU to 1000w, but in your case if you buy reference cards and your CPU aint OC'd much, i would say that 700w is just enough.

I plan to get the MSI ones and not overclock yet. Unless my mind is tempting me.....

that psu isnt modular. It doesnt have extra pci-e cable on it so you cannot sli. Unless you would use a molex to pci-e but that isnt recommended.

A 700 Watt powersupply will be fine. 700 watt powersupplys are purchased if you intend to upgrade to a dual GPU solution in the future. Even a 450 watt Power Supply, can handle a Titan and a 4770K according to Linus.
