PSU is something you dont want to cheap out on ever as it is probably the most vital component. The EVGA G2 550w would be perfect for your build.

As already pointed out, don't skimp on PSU!

Take into account a quality PSU will last multiple builds, yup its a bit of outlay to start, but in a few years you wont need one next upgrade if you buy decent now.

The PSU in my gaming rig is actually about 10 years old and is in its 3rd case, 4th motherboard, 5th cpu and god knows how many gpu upgrades in that time! It was pretty stupid money back in the day @ $300 Dollerydoos ( i ridiculous 12v rail running SLI 8800's back in the day), but $30 a year (and still going down) is a small price to pay for smooth, reliable power.

I doubt I will be upgrading this PC again, I will probably start a new build from scratch in a few years time.

If you buy a good PSU now, then you won't have to. I bought a HX1000i for my computer that doesn't currently need it. My builds may never need it. But it was in my budget to do so, its EXTREMELY good quality, and comes with a 10 year warranty. so I'm set for ANY computer I want to build in the next decade and then some.

I'm not saying everyone should have premium PSU's like that in their builds, but spending an extra 10-20 bucks now will allow you to reuse the PSU for your "new" build in a few years time.

Your CPU is going to be a colossal bottleneck to the 470, but that aside.

The Corsair CX450M should be fine for a 470 seeing how little power they appear to be expected to draw.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
