A few questions regarding gsync

So recently I've been looking at Gsync with an acquaintance, and there's a few things he wasn't sure of and neither was I, so I wanted to see if anybody here has the answers to these few questions (Some may be subjective).

1. Should you be using vsync with gsync?

2. If you should, is vsync impacted by certain frame rates? the monitor they own is 164 hz capable

3. We've both read that above 100 fps gsync doesn't seem to make much difference, and some disable it above that, is this true, if so what is the reason?

No, you should not be using vsync with gsync. If you did, it would pretty much go against the whole point of gsync, which was supposed to replace vsync while not having the problems of input delay.

I'm not too sure about your second question, sorry.

It's all about your personal perception, as everyone sees things differently. However, the general consensus is that the difference between 120Hz and 144Hz is much less noticeable than that between 60Hz and 75Hz, 90Hz, or 120Hz. The only reason I can think of that people would disable it at those framerates is professional gamers who want their game to run as "pure" as it possibly can. I'm not too sure what the word is to describe that, but I hope you get what I mean. Pro gamers like to be as close to their game as they possibly can - they don't want anything inbetween.

Hmmm alright, in regards to vsync the general consensus seems to enable it in the nvidia control panel, then disable ingame, to make sure gsync applies the a 144hz cap, otherwise it tears a lot.
