So a few months ago I built my custom water cooled system and after useing it for about a month it started shutting down randomly while playing games.  So I thought well maybe the budget corsair CX600 I was useing was not enough to drive an x99 build with a custom loop and a Titan X. So I went out a couple weeks ago during the 4th of July and got an EVGA GQ 1000W  PSU and put it in the system and everything seemed to run fine for about a week I could play games with out any issues like I had before. But last week I was playing a fallout 4 and about 15 min in the computer turned off again. I thought nothing of it becouse I live in Florida and I just assumed the power went out or something but then it did it again and again. Now I can not even start fallout or any came for that mater with out the system turning off.

my only Idea is that it's the Motherboard because I purchased it Used off of eBay and when I got it one of the ram slots didn't work even after enabling XMP.

So does anyone have any ideas?

Well the CX600 was a bad choice to begin with on a rig like that. The EVGA PSU is soo much better than that CX. Since the mobo was listed as used, I would think it is the mobo that is causing problems.

I would not even bother with a USED condition mobo on eBay as you know one of the RAM slots did not work, I can assume that something else is wrong with the board too.

I should have returned the board after I found out the ram slot was bad. But I had all the tubes cut to length to fit that board and I needed the computer to run my Cad programs and virtual matchines. Baa

I'll likely have end up getting one of these
