MSI Armor OC 1080?

Any thoughts on the MSI Armor GTX 1080 OC card for gaming/VR? Is it enough card to run everything at max with a 1440 ultra wide? 

 

I know it's not the beefiest card but it matches my whole build theme and its still a 1080 so I'm curious if anyone has opinions on its theoretical performance.

It will most likely perform on par with all the other custom 1080. With GPU boost 3.0, we saw marginal improvements from one model to the other, the boost is doing most of the job. It will be enough for VR, but it might struggle on the most demanding titles at 1440p ultrawide.

All the 1080 & 1070 cards actually oc to about the same between 2000 and 2100 MHz so there is absolutely no advantage from one to the next. You will have zero issues with the armor edition.
