2 harddrives(maxtor diamond plus 9 and diamondmax 10)

half a gig of RAM That fits the white slots

A medion quad tv tuner data fax moden(why not?)

are these parts compatible?

what are the pcie-like slots called?

can i put the harddrives in RAID?

what are both types of ram slots called, can i use them at the same time?

ask for details if necessaire

72 pin simm, 168 pin dimm, pci and isa slots.  that's an oldie.  Oh wow and it has an AT power supply.  My guess is it's a first generation pentium.  Actually - could very possibly be a cyrix system too, though now that I see the heatsink has a fan it's most likely a pentium - the others didn't usually have fans.

As far as the hard drives, you can possibly JBOD raid them so they show as a single drive letter but no performance gain or redundancy.  Raid requires the disks be the same.

There's something cool here - you just can't see it.

it is an amd-k6.

if the black slots are isa, then i have another isa sigma graphics card, i will post the type later.

would that be better or worse than the current s3 trio virge?

ISA is older than PCI just like PCI is older than AGP and AGP older than PCIE.  Stick with the best PCI video card you have available.

i read that the power supply is a fire hazzard .is there a way to prevent this(i only have atx power supply's laying around0

It appears your computer motherboard has a 20 pin ATX connector as well.  May want to at least attempt to look up more info on it as you may need to change jumpers and such if you find a compatible power supply to use in it.
