psu compatibility question

Elerek

I'm looking at buying an intel S2600G for a workstation and I'm trying to find decent psu's for it. Do I need to buy an intel branded psu or do all server edge connected psu's have the same pin out? I'm not getting in a chassis so size constraints aren't too much of an issue.

Build: Intel S2600gz, 2x E5-2670, EVGA SC 1070, Zotac 1060 6GB mini, 48GB Micron 1333mhz ECC DDR3, 2x Intel DPS-750XB 750 watt PSU

Power supplies that follow the required standard(s) should all be compatible.

and then one last question, since server psu's plug straight into the mobo (at least in this case) I don't have a way to power a gpu via the 6/8 pin connector. Could I use an extra psu + one of these breakout boards? Would I need to connect the ground on it to the ground on the mobo?
